Top 10 questions you ask about Flyte

1. How do I know this will help me?

Flyte is intended for strengthening of the pelvic floor muscles, which has been found to help women with stress urinary incontinence. Flyte helps women with mild, moderate and severe SUI. It’s backed by 15 years of research and development including rigorous clinical studies to prove it is safe and effective.

In clinical trial, most women using Flyte were dry or near dry in 2 – 12 weeks. For many women, Flyte’s benefits are life changing. Check out Is Flyte Right to read more. We can’t guarantee that all women will be dry after 6 weeks of using Flyte (the standard treatment time), but we do offer a money back performance guarantee to eliminate the risk.

2. Do other women see improvements?

We talk with women every day who are able to eliminate or substantially reduce their SUI. And this is consistent with our clinical trials. In our Norwegian clinical study, 82% of women with mild or moderate SUI were continent in only 6 weeks. 77% of the women who responded to a 2-year follow up question reported continued continence. (Data on file at Pelvital). In our US clinical study, we included women not only with mild or moderate SUI, but also with severe SUI. This is rare for studies of conservative treatments, and most conservative treatments perform poorly for severe incontinence, unlike Flyte. In as little as 2 weeks, we found 37% of these women reported being dry or nearly dry and 71% by 12 weeks.

3. Is this like e-stim? Or Kegel trainers?

No. Flyte is not electrical stimulation (e-stim) and is not a Kegel trainer.

  • There are no electrodes and Flyte does not force your muscles to contract through electrical stimulation, which some women find uncomfortable.
  • Instead, Flyte uses a technology called mechanotherapy to leverage the body’s natural healing process to improve and restore the pelvic floor muscles, giving you a stronger pelvic floor.
  • There are other home-use pelvic floor devices on the market that use estim or simply teach you how to perform a Kegel by providing biofeedback. Flyte is not a Kegel trainer. Flyte is an active treatment, backed by clinical evidence and is FDA cleared.

4. How does Flyte’s active treatment work?

Flyte leverages the body’s natural process to heal and restore the pelvic floor muscles. The cells in our body are designed to sense change in our environment and then respond to that change. The Flyte wand is designed to make contact with the pelvic floor, providing a gentle, therapeutic stretch on the muscles. Second, the Flyte wand delivers gentle pulses (that feel like a slight vibration) to stimulate the pelvic floor. These two steps work together to create a cellular response in the pelvic floor by generating improved strength and tone – giving you more control over your bladder.

5. Why does Flyte use an intravaginal wand?

There is science behind the design and function of the wand:

  • The wand is designed to make contact with the pelvic floor muscle and provide a gentle, therapeutic stretch while inserted in the vagina.
  • The wand’s internal components deliver specially designed and clinically tested mechanical (NOT electrical!) pulses to gently stimulate the pelvic floor. The pulses work together with the therapeutic stretch to deliver an effective treatment for stress urinary incontinence.
  • We offer a money back performance guarantee, so trying Flyte is risk free.

6. How is Flyte packaged?

Flyte is packaged in a discrete, sleek, re-usable, sturdy box that is convenient and safe for storage of your device between treatment sessions. It’s shipped in a standard brown cardboard shipping box. Watch our unboxing video below:

7. What if I just had a baby or surgery? Can I still use Flyte?

Do not use Flyte if you have given birth or have had genitourinary or pelvic surgery in the past 6 weeks. Do not use Flyte if you have had vaginal surgery within the last 3 months. If either of these describe you, make sure you have been cleared by your doctor or surgeon before pursuing Flyte.

8. How long do I use Flyte?

Flyte is designed to work fast — in as little as 5 minutes per day for a 6-week standard treatment time. Some women may take longer than our standard treatment time and may benefit from continued use of Flyte.

9. Can I keep using Flyte after 6 weeks?

Yes. Each woman is different and some women find they need continued treatment beyond our standard treatment time. After 6 weeks, some women will want to continue using Flyte for a few weeks to further improve strength, or use it occasionally (say once a week) to maintain pelvic floor muscle tone.

10. What does it feel like to use Flyte?

The gentle pulses delivered by the Flyte wand are painless. They feel like a slight vibration. Most women say Flyte is easy to use. The wand is made of body-safe, medical-grade silicone. We recommend applying a water-based vaginal lubricant to the wand to make insertion easier. There may be some discomfort when using Flyte the first few times. This is normal for an intravaginal device and is similar to some of the muscle fatigue you might feel after starting a new exercise program. More questions? Ask a PT.
